The team would like to thank The Morrisons Foundation Fund for the donation of £600. The money is being used to purchase additional medical equipment which the team will use on future callouts. It costs around £30,000 per year to run the team and while some money comes from the Scottish Government the remainder come from generous donations by members of the public and donations from funds such as the Morrisions Foundation.
Charity Challenge
Every year Moffat Mountain Rescue Team holds its annual charity walk in the hills around the team’s area of operation. There are 4 walks of varying difficulty to meet the needs of all comers. This years challenge is being held in the Durisdeer Hills on the 12 June. Find out more on our challenge page
