landroverAt 0630 on 21 March 2016 Police Scotland contacted the team to assist with an ongoing search for a missing person in Dalbeattie Forest. The team attended with its two landrovers and joined Galloway Mountain Rescue Team and the Police Scotland Mountain Rescue Team who had already been searching through the night.

Fortunately just as the team were deploying into the forest the missing person turned up safe and well after a night in the forest. The team was stood down and returned to their day jobs a little late for a Monday morning!

The previous day the team provided safety cover for the Criffel Fell race which passed off without incident on a beautiful clear day. The team still took the opportunity to carry out first aid and communications practice.
