Casualty Site
The team headed out in the snow for a Sunday training session, skills including communications, line searches, first aid and technical ropework were tested. The team were searching for missing walkers in the Selcoth Burn area of the Moffat Hills. Once found one needed evacuation by stetcher with a rope backup, one was able to be walked out and one was unresponsive and needed cardiac massage and the use of the teams new training defibrillator.
Fortunately the rain held off until nearly the end of the exercise which put both older and newer team members through their paces.
